History of the Coalition
The CBO Coalition’s founders were Cindy Burton, CEO of PathPoint, and J. T. Turner, CEO of Phoenix of Santa Barbara (now Crescend Health). The first meeting of the Coalition was on June 24th, 2013. The Coalition is an association of behavioral health providers in Santa Barbara County. Among the purposes of the Coalition are:
- To be a support system for the Coalition’s member organizations;
- To improve coordination of behavioral health services among providers;
- To mobilize the “collective wisdom” of the member organizations;
- To plan for and be ready for far-reaching and broader changes expected in the overall health care system;
- To improve behavioral health care for adults and children in Santa Barbara County.
